Klay Thompson is the likeliest player to have a breakout season in 2012-13, according to NBA GMs.
Thompson received 13.3% of the votes, while Kyrie Irving and Kawhi Leonard each received 10% of the votes.
Last season, James Harden was given the preseason honor after receiving 21.4% of the vote.
He averaged 16.8 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game and 3.7 assists per game last season for Oklahoma City.
Thompson averaged 12.5 points per game in his rookie year for Golden State.
